  • A willingness and ability to work with vulnerable
  • Awareness of community services, resources, and
  • Experience in working with Aboriginal groups/communities
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) and ability to write reports
  • Provide conflict resolution support and crisis management
  • Provide daily living skills support and advocate for clients
  • Coordinate internal/external resources

QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum of 2-years post-secondary education in a related field (Social Services, First Nations Studies, Criminology, Psychology etc.) and 1-2 years’ experience working with youth; or a combination of education and experience
  • Class 5 Driver’s License with a willingness and ability to obtain unrestricted Class 4 within 3 months of hire
  • Certification: First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (NVCI, CPI) Suicide Intervention, and Food Safe; or the willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire
  • Ability to undergo a successful criminal record
  • Preference will be given to qualified applicants of Indigenous ancestry. In accordance with section 41 of the BC Human Rights Code
  • Wages: $25.94/hr. – $31.51/hr. based on qualifications and experience (night shift premium)
