- A willingness and ability to work with vulnerable
- Awareness of community services, resources, and
- Experience in working with Aboriginal groups/communities
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) and ability to write reports
- Provide conflict resolution support and crisis management
- Provide daily living skills support and advocate for clients
- Coordinate internal/external resources
QUALIFICATION
- Minimum of 2-years post-secondary education in a related field (Social Services, First Nations Studies, Criminology, Psychology etc.) and 1-2 years’ experience working with youth; or a combination of education and experience
- Class 5 Driver’s License with a willingness and ability to obtain unrestricted Class 4 within 3 months of hire
- Certification: First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (NVCI, CPI) Suicide Intervention, and Food Safe; or the willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire
- Ability to undergo a successful criminal record
- Preference will be given to qualified applicants of Indigenous ancestry. In accordance with section 41 of the BC Human Rights Code
- Wages: $25.94/hr. – $31.51/hr. based on qualifications and experience (night shift premium)
