Agency:Det’on Cho Bouwa Whee CateringActive: Yesterday– The camp is located 300 km north of Yellowknife. A return flight from Calgary to the site is provided. Must have experience with camps that have over 250 attendees. – Must be knowledgeable in the safe and efficient operation of all equipment within the food service area of operations. – Ensure that all members of the Food Service Team are fully informed about the equipment and taught proper, safe usage of all kitchen and service equipment. – Should maintain a hands-on approach in all areas of operation, taking part in the preparation of each product served to guests and ensuring only the highest quality product is presented to guests. – Must have a thorough understanding of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals within the food service area of operations. Also comprehend the necessary safety precautions while using these products. – Must have a complete understanding of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and the Hazard Identification Program. Apply this knowledge in daily work tasks. – Must have successfully completed a LEVEL 2 Food Safe Program and ensure that staff employ safe food practices at all times. – Must fully understand Bouwa Whee’s Health and Safety Program and apply its principles in daily tasks to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and guests. – Must use required Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E) when necessary and ensure all employees possess CSA Approved Safety Footwear. – Should take the lead in creating and maintaining an effective department safety team. – Attend and lead regularly scheduled Safety, Tool Box, Pass and Department Organizational Meetings and contribute valuable input to Bouwa Whee Food Services department safety team. – Supervise and lead up to 25 team members to develop a competent and effective Food Service Team. – Lead by example, directing all employees in proper and safe work practices. – Should have a cooperative and positive attitude to work effectively with all Bouwa Whee team members. – Be ready, willing, and able to fulfill all reasonable duties and requests of the Camp Manager and our client. – Must be physically fit and capable of warehousing, shipping, receiving, packing, and stacking pallets of perishable and non-perishable food items, and cleaning supplies.
