Explore striking landscapes and unique wildlife that thrive year-round in this extraordinary environment.About the RoleAs a Waste Collection Technician, you will be an integral part of the operations team, responsible for managing and disposing of non-hazardous and solid waste, while supporting other maintenance functions as required.What You’ll Do:

  • Collect, separate, and dispose of solid and non-hazardous waste, ensuring proper recycling.
  • Operate and maintain waste management equipment, including the incinerator, and manage ash disposal.
  • Perform outdoor litter collection and garbage removal.
  • Support tradespeople with tasks and additional duties as assigned.
  • Ensure equipment and containers are clean and operational.

Requirements

  • Eligible for a Reliability Status security clearance and pre-employment medical.
  • Valid driver’s license and Canadian passport for travel to CFS Alert, NU (including layovers in Thule, Greenland).
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in waste collection, packaging, or disposal.
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in adverse weather conditions.
  • Cross-cultural adaptability and a strong team player mindset.

  • Fly-In Fly-Out schedule with 8×8 rotations (8 weeks on site, 8 weeks off site).
