The Unit Aide performs tasks and activities which include patient flow, nursing and physician support, inventory control/ordering supplies, organizing clean utility, stock rooms and exam rooms, equipment cleaning, and maintenance, and following policies and procedures.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:Grade XII or equivalent requiredPrevious clinic aide experience preferredKnowledge of medical terminology an assetUnderstands and adheres to unit and hospital policies and proceduresDemonstrated ability to follow directionsUnderstands the importance of cleanliness in a hospitalAble to establish good relationships with peopleDemonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skillsCurrent certification in WHIMISBasic knowledge of infection controlPrior experience ordering and stocking suppliesGood judgment and demonstrated initiativeCompetency with computer skills, MS Outlook, Excel and WordCompetencies in other languages an asset, French preferredPlease ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.A skill test will be included as part of the selection process.Hours
