  • Provide campus tours to visitors or student groups on the University of Winnipeg facilities and Aboriginal Student Services.
  • Represent the Aboriginal Student Services Centre at various Career Fairs, The University of Winnipeg Open House and presentations with the ASSC Aboriginal Liaison Officer.
  • Visits classrooms both on and off campus to provide personal experience with the University of Winnipeg and Aboriginal Student Services Centre.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work September 2024 – April 2025, approximately 0 – 34 hours per month.
  • Must be a full-time student in the 2024 – 25 academic year at The University of Winnipeg.
  • Knowledge of the University of Winnipeg programs and services.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of the Aboriginal Student Services Centre programs and services would be an asset.
  • Demonstrates a sensitivity and understanding of the diverse academic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of our student population.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience and skills will be considered.
  • On the job training provided to the successful candidates.

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must be a full-time student. Full-time students are defined as a student enrolled in the current academic year in a high school or at the University of Winnipeg in a full-time program of study as defined in the University of Winnipeg General Calendar.
