We are responsible for the custody and supervision of adults and young persons under correctional authority, as well as the facilitation of rehabilitation. If so, the Specialized Support Liaison role may be right for you.In this role you will play an integral role in coordinating a network of specialized victim serving organizations with the aim of:

  • Establishing collaborative working relationships within the provincial victim service model
  • Acting as a conduit and liaison between specialized victim serving organizations, RVSS, municipalities and other partners to provide a coordinated system of services to victims of crime throughout the province.
  • Aligning service delivery within the context of the criminal justice system to ensure victims of crime have access to comprehensive and appropriate service options as they engage with the criminal justice system, along with ensuring a commitment to providing culturally relevant and safe services.
  • Identifying gaps/disconnects with our criminal justice partners and develops ways to address these issues.

You will also collaborate with partners within the criminal justice system, including police, Crown, Court Services, and corrections on process evaluation, coordination, and ever-greening as appropriate.   • University graduation in Public Administration or Criminal Justice
  • PLUS a minimum of 4 years of progressively related experience
  • Equivalencies will be considered on a one year-for-one-year basis.

The following are considered assets: * Understanding of how the criminal justice system is structured and operates.

  • Experience with NGOs and/or non-profits.
  • Experience with program compliance.
