Closing Date: 03/13/2025.GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountable for providing technical leadership and consulting services for all aspects of the planning, design, architecture, implementation, support, evolution, performance, operational tools, and capacity related to assigned technical environments. Acts as technical and business specialist for Strategic Integrated Solutions and partners with Business Sales teams and Technical Sales Specialists on the solution selection, pricing, integration, implementation, billing and support for SaskTel’s Data Centre and Managed IT and Partner Services. Provides consultative expertise to senior management, providing information and recommendations, as required.SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Creates and fosters positive relationships with Business Stakeholders/Customers. Ensures that the delivery of SaskTel’s Business Services aligns with the Customer/Stakeholders’ business objectives and the competitive landscape SaskTel competes in.
2. Accountable for the planning, architecture, high level design, implementation, support and evolution of SaskTel BS&S products and services
3. Develops and maintains expertise on emerging technologies and provides leadership within SaskTel and customer organizations on the impacts of and regarding management of transition to these technologies.
4. Acquires and applies knowledge of trends and of the competitive environments in the telecommunications and customer industries to position SaskTel within customer business plans.
5. Accountable for the optimization of Customer integrated solutions and networks with respect to customer defined requirements and long term profitability of SaskTel.
6. Provides a technical leadership role and builds a foundation of support within SaskTel and its alliance partners and leverages the associated relationships in the best interest of SaskTel and SaskTel customers.
7. Provides consulting, coaching and/or mentoring to direct reports and others in regard to customer technical requirements, plans and solutions with respect to the associated technologies.
8. Performs business/system analysis and consulting regarding complex solutions to help customers improve their business processes and/or adapt to change.
9. Develops business cases and manages internal projects and/or assists clients in developing business cases through the appropriate life cycle of BS&S products and services.
10.Develops and documents requirements, designs, pricing, processes, specifications, project schedules, cost inputs, project plans and performance requirements.
11.Maintains knowledge of current and emerging methodologies, standards, guidelines and tools associated with fulfillment of the above accountabilities and recommends/influences use of these within SaskTel.
12.Assist in the management of projects to ensure they are delivered on- time, on-scope, and within budget, to help maximize profitability for SaskTel.
13.Accountable for financial management of projectsQUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s Degree OR Technical Certificate and 3 years relevant experience OR 6 years equivalent experience in a related field
2. Current standing of advanced vendor certification(s) as specified in the posting.
3. Experience in developing customer proposals, pricing and contracts.
4. Experience at developing and/or maintaining business relationships with solution partners. Demonstrated expertise in managing contracts, negotiating license agreements and service level agreements.
5. Extensive experience with negotiating contracts with vendors, partners and consultants
6. Extensive experience in the application of information technology principles, methodologies and techniques.
7. Demonstrated analytical, business and technical leadership in assisting Business Sales in analyzing customer needs and delivering BS&S Products and Services that solve identified business problems.
8. Maintains expertise on emerging technologies, industry trends, information technology, and their cross impacts to SaskTel and the customer.
9. Management skills to plan, coordinate and control the resources needed to effectively support major projects
10.Experience with financial management and possesses budgeting skills
11.Strong team leader and member, able to select and develop staff and able to influence the performance of others.
12.Demonstrated experience in managing teams to deliver projects with an understanding of project management.
