Job description: Skilled Labor Project – North SaskAttention apprentice Carpenters and Industrial Mechanics.
Are you hardworking, reliable, and comfortable doing manual labor for extended periods?
Do you have experience working on industrial plant sites and interacting with other trades?
Are you comfortable working outside in all weather conditions in September/October?
Do you have the endurance to work 12-hour days for up to 24 days straight?If so, I’d love to hear from you! Our client has a project in North Saskatchewan and is looking for 4 skilled laborers to balance out their crew and assist with new construction.
Candidates need to be selected and onboarded by Sept 18th, Travel date is Sept 22nd.Temporary project: 17-24 days straight
Days – $20/hr – 12-hour shifts – OT after 8 hours, weekends double OT
Nights -$25/hr – 12-hour shifts – OT after 8 hours, weekends double OTAdvantages

As a skilled laborer, you’ll be supporting other trades duties like:
– Grouting leveling plates
– Carrying materials
– Forming footings and walls
– Installing anchor bolts
– building staging
– installing bracing
– pouring concrete
– Base/skid leveling;
– Collaborate with other trades in completing various mechanical scopes;
– Conduct work in areas in which specialized training is required such as confined spaces and heights;
– Maintain a safe and clean work environment;
– Various other tasks as required.Qualifications
What do you need to qualify for this position?
– Mandatory safety tickets – H2S Alive, CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, Standard First Level C CPR & AED as well as Common Safety Orientation or BSO;
– Must have own CSA metatarsal boots
– Must have the ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
– Ability to lift heavy equipment, and material on a regular basis, up to 50 pounds.
– Carpentry certification from an accredited post-secondary institution (or working towards);
– Additional education considered an asset: Journeyman Machinist / Millwright certification is an asset
– Safety tickets considered an asset – Confined Space Entry and Fall ProtectionSummary
