Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.The RoleReporting to the supervisor, site services, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of a variety of mobile equipment in order to maintain site infrastructure, roads, and airstrip.In this role, you will:

  • Operate mobile equipment, including loaders, sand trucks, buses, road rollers, skid steer, and vac trucks
  • Practice safe work habits and comply with company safety policies, including completing daily operator care rounds; ensuring proper machine startup, operation, and shutdown procedures; and assisting with preventative maintenance when appropriate
  • Perform manual labour as required, including regular lifting of materials and luggage

Required:

  • Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
  • One to three years of relevant work experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
  • Experience with loaders, sand truck, bus, road roller, skid steer, and vac truck
  • Safety-oriented team player
  • Able to clearly communicate with team members when needed
  • Willingness to perform manual labour as required
  • Basic computer operation and navigation will be involved
  • Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft

Recommended:

  • Mechanically inclined: able to identify issues that may arise during operation and provide accurate description of problems for maintenance personnel

Salary Range: $113,504Safety Sensitive SitePreference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewan’s North (RSN).The Cigar Lake operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.The physical and psychological safety of our employees is a top priority at Cameco.
