This position reports directly to AWP Safety/Safety First Contracting Limited’s Product Manager.Responsibilities

• Coordinate the order production queue with the Product Manager & sign shop laborers.
• Provide oversight of shop laborers.

Sign Manufacturing

• Operate wide format printer & software, laminator, and vinyl sign cutter and software.
• Apply reflective sheeting, vinyl, and transfer tape.
• Cut, prepare, and finish substrates (wood, aluminum, coroplast).

Utility Trailer Maintenance

• Perform repairs and maintenance on Utility Trailers, to include, wiring, soldering and light duty welding.

Truck Upfitting, including installation.

• Responsible for truck upfitting, including installation-BACKRACK, light bars and Flashing light units (arrow boards).

Other Shop Duties

• Manufacture and paint wood barricades.
• Perform maintenance of sign shop/warehouse manufacturing equipment.
• Preparing orders for shipment/customer pick up.
• Regular operation of a forklift.
• Ensure overall shop cleanliness.

• ONYX Thrive
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• Microsoft Outlook

Qualifications

• Power tool experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Steel Toe Boots
• Effective communication skills
• Valid drivers’ license and ability to meet AWP Safety driver standards
