Job description: Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 40hrs per week (8am – 4:30pm)

  • Temporary contract with chance of permanent hire

Wage:

  • Starting around $19.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist customers with professionalism, building rapport and addressing their needs courteously.
  • Handle customer complaints sensitively, working to resolve issues or escalating when necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively with other teams within the dealership.
  • Process transactions swiftly and accurately, ensuring all charges for parts, labor, and repairs are correct.
  • Follow dealership procedures for transactions, including verifying accounts, posting payments, and recording warranty work.
  • Handle cash and make accurate change.
  • Manage the reception team’s schedule and address absences as needed.
  • Understand and communicate information about vehicle rental conditions, types, and prices.

Work Environment & Duties:

  • Frequent interaction with staff across all departments.
  • High level of detail-oriented work, particularly involving large-dollar transactions.
  • Regular paperwork and record-keeping related to payments and charges.
  • Heavy use of computers and phones in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview: The Service Cashier is responsible for greeting customers, processing payments, and maintaining accurate transaction records. This role involves balancing the cash drawer, following cash-handling procedures, and ensuring that all customer payments are properly accounted for. The Service Cashier also monitors the progress of vehicle repairs and coordinates the return of rental vehicles.Key Attributes:
