The role is based in Labrador City, NL.Responsibilities:Working on M-F, 8-4 schedule and reporting to the Superintendent, Occupational Health, your duties will include:Leadership and Team Management: Provide effective leadership to the Injury & Illness Management team by setting clear expectations, offering feedback, coaching, and development, and establishing efficient and effective team processes.Program Planning and Policy Development: Contribute to policy development and the annual planning of Occupational Health activities and projects to align with organizational goals, expectations, and objectives.Injury & Illness Management: Facilitate the return-to-work process for injured or ill employees, reviewing and providing support related to medical care, rehabilitation, and accommodations.Health Promotion and Education: Develop and implement health promotion programs, designing and delivering programs on health topics relevant to the workforce.Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with management, employees, and other stakeholders to identify and address health concerns.Compliance and Professional Responsibility: Ensure proper documentation of all employee health information in compliance with legal and ethical standards.What you’ll bringBachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalentCurrently licensed and in good standing with CRNNLRelevant up to date training and certifications (BLS-HCP, ACLS, etc.) would be considered an assetExperience working in Occupational Health or in a Leadership role would be considered an assetExperience with electronic medical records and Microsoft 365 applications would be considered an assetOrganized, self-directed, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing competing prioritiesAdaptable, efficient, and collaboratesExcellent communication and influencing skillsWhat we offerBeing recognized for your contribution, thinking, and hard work.
