Job description: SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Senior Analyst, Financial Systems delivers effective and efficient services related to the financial systems and related information system programs, including researching, configuring, testing and implementing enhancements and upgrades to the systems. This includes conducting assigned project work and various accounting, analysis and reporting for SaskEnergy Consolidated and subsidiary companies.Position DetailsNon-union – This position is temporary full time for up to 24 months.Key AccountabilitiesResearch and evaluate the financial management systems to identify opportunities to increase the utilization of technology to streamline accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.Participate in system enhancements and upgrades to ensure effective and timely implementation and maintenance of the financial management system.Provide support to financial system users by resolving system issues and performing general ledger posting security maintenance.Participate in the development of general ledger accounts and transaction structures to appropriately record financial transactions and facilitate reporting that meets the needs of management and external stakeholders while ensuring processes and procedures are in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Ensure that accounts are structured and transactions are properly recorded to facilitate reporting that meets the needs of management and external parties.Assist as the point of contact for the External Auditor, monitoring and tracking the completion and delivery of working papers to the auditors and assisting with the orderly processing of Audit inquiries.Other related duties as assigned.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesDegree in Business Administration or Commerce.A Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) would be preferred.Four (4) years of financial systems experience.Four (4) years of accounting experience.Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.Application InstructionsPlease apply online with your cover letter and resume outlining your qualifications.For more information on this position, please contact Human Resources at 306-777-9091.Closing DateSeptember 13, 2024Salary Range$71,483 – $100,065#LI-POST
