Job description: SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Senior Analyst, IT Budget & Contracts is responsible for providing oversight of financial operations and vendor governance within the Digital, Technology, & Security (DT&S) business unit. This role supports the preparation and monitoring of budgets, analyzes financial performance, and overseeing vendor contract compliance andservice excellence.Position DetailsNon-union – This position is permanent full time.Key AccountabilitiesReview and approve financial expenditures related to technology, vendors, and contracts.Lead the preparation of the annual operating budget and capital utilization for DT&S.Lead the end-to-end yearly budget development for capital and operating dollars within DT&S.Collaborate with the DT&S leadership team to establish annual budget goals, financial targets, and spending guidelines.Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership in DT&S, providing insights into budget variances variance analysis, cost drivers, and areas of concern or potential risks and providing recommendations on efficiencies.Apply financial management principles to optimize cloud spending and ensure financial resource alignment with organizational goals.Lead the establishment and enforcement of IT finance and vendor governance and management policies by leveraging information technology frameworks.Provide guidance on vendor selection, negotiation, contract review and risk assessment.Support contract lifecycle processes, including renewals and performance reviews, offering strategic guidance to DT&S Leadership.Other related duties as assigned.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesDegree in Business Administration or Commerce (major in Finance preferred), or a related field.Three (3) years of experience, which includes knowledge of budgeting and invoice management.Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation would be considered an asset.Knowledge of Power BI, data visualization, on premise and cloud (FinOps, etc.) IT, ITIL and TOGAF financial and vendor management frameworks would be considered an asset.Knowledge of end-to-end budget processes, including variance analysis and preparing annual budgets.Ability to oversee contracts and work effectively with vendors to resolve issues.Ability to work on a team while building and maintaining effective relationships.Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.Additional InformationTravel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters, is required on occasion.Application InstructionsPlease apply online with your cover letter and resume outlining your qualifications.For more information on this position, please contact Human Resources at 306-777-9091.Closing DateFebruary 10, 2025Salary Range$71,483 – $100,065#LI-POST
