Explore stunning landscapes and witness the thriving year-round fauna in this remarkable environment.About the Role:As a Second Cook at Nasittuq, you will play a crucial role in providing nourishing meals to personnel in a cafeteria-style self-service setting 365 days a year. Your motivation and adaptability will be key as you contribute to a safe and efficient kitchen environment.Your Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals according to approved cycle menus, ensuring quality and wholesome food for all diners.
• Assist in menu planning, food orders, and inventory control.
• Implement food services in compliance with the Food Safety Code of Practice.
• Maintain kitchen and food storage areas, ensuring equipment is operated and maintained properly.
• Participate in committee meetings as required, contributing to quality assurance and health and safety initiatives.

What You Will Bring:

• Apprentice Cook or Graduate Cook certification.
• Safe food handling training.
• 3+ years of experience in food preparation services or catering for groups of 50+ people.

Requirements:

• Eligibility for RELIABILITY security clearance and passing a pre-employment medical.
• Possession of a valid passport for travel to CFS Alert, NU, including overnight stays in Thule, Greenland.
• Strong cross-cultural adaptability and teamwork skills.

• Fly-In Fly-Out schedule with 8×8 rotations (8 weeks on site, 8 weeks off site)
• Competitive salary rate: $29.49 – $31.04 per hour
• $27 a day in Isolation Allowance for every day worked on site
