Job description: Hello We are searching for in-home respite care, occurring twice a month on Saturday evenings from 8-11pm, for our incredible nine-year-old daughter who has autism. She is nonverbal, and we use PECS and an iPad for our primary means of communication with her. Duties would primarily consist of engaging in games with our child, watching movies, preparing snacks, assisting with bedtime routines, maintaining a safety-conscious environment, helping reinforce routines, visual schedules, social stories, as well as modeling assisted communication. We would also like to mention that we are pet owners of a cat and a small dog.
