Duties:
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
This is a hybrid role in Brampton.
Work in the office 1 or 2 days of the week
Outside Sales Representative will be focused on identifying, scoping, designing, and selling multiple channels, including dedicated distribution and transportation services to targeted industry verticals. Looking for someone who comes with a book of business in the transportation industry for truck loads, LTL, warehouse for both Canada and the USA. This is a true hunter position, candidate will not be given leads.

  • Act as lead on solutions and pricing development on new business opportunities and cross-selling of other services within the company offering
  • Develop relationship with DMs within a targeted group of customers
  • Understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory tracking systems and Transportation Management tools
  • Act as lead player in developing formal presentations to customers at the executive level
  • An expert in at least one area of the supply chain domains providing thought leadership and details solutions
  • Ability to successfully present and influence customers through thought leadership to senior and mid-level managers.
  • Support sales calls, proposals and participate in oral presentations and expand competencies across supply chain domains and apply to industry specific solutions
  • Help define and articulate differentiated value and competitive advantages, participate in providing consultative, on-site solutions development
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver effective business solutions
  • Develop proactive and reactive business collateral (solutions to problems, RFP/FRI/Proposals/White Papers)
  • Participate in industry events, provide content to thought leadership speeches and papers to help increase vertical industry exposure

Assets:

  • 5-10 years of progressive logistics/supply chain experience (Willing to look at someone with less experience providing they can demonstrate successes)
  • Deep understanding of one or more of the following verticals: High Tech, Consumer Products, Life Sciences (Health Care), Industrial Manufacturing, Retail and Food & Beverage
  • Strong computer skills-company uses the following software programs (Revenova, Cargo Wise and Salesforce)-willing to train on these programs but must have some experience with CRM systems
  • Ability to Travel-50-75% of the time. The territory is Canada and USA.
  • Must have a valid Passport to travel to the US
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
