Job description: POSTING DATE: September 23, 2024 POSTING #411-24 (ONA)EXPIRY DATE: September 30, 2024HURON PERTH HEALTHCARE ALLIANCENOTICE OF VACANCYPOSITION: REGISTERED NURSE – Inpatient UnitPrimary Site: Clinton and SeaforthFull-TimeREPORTS TO: Manager, Inpatient Unit and Emergency Department – ClintonManager, Inpatient Unit and Emergency Department – SeaforthDATE REQUIRED: As soon as possibleSALARY: $39.07 to $56.00 per hourQUALIFICATIONS:– Current registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario– Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationEXPERIENCE:Recent clinical experience (minimum 2 years) in the areas of:– Medicine/Palliative Care Nursing– Pre/Post-Surgical Nursing– Recent/related educational programsSKILLS/ABILITIES:– ACLS, or willing to obtain within three (3) months of hire– Basic cardiac arrhythmia course (or equivalent) preferred, or willing to obtain within three (3) months of hire– Demonstrated ability to manage a mixed inpatient caseload including acute care, complex continuing care cardiac monitoring and palliative– Specialized skills in Medical/Surgical Nursing– Ability to plan, organize and problem solve– Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development– Ability to work independently and as a team member, with excellent communication skills– Working knowledge of Meditech Information System and personal computer application**Applicants may be eligible for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness and Tuition Support Program for Nurses programs**Please be advised that we are no longer accepting emailed or paper-based resumes.
