Casual with Temporary Part-TimePOSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Dietitian, as a member of the Health Care Team, identifies, develops, plans, implements, and evaluates all nutrition interventions and education requirements for referred patients and members of the Health Care Team.REPORTS TO: Manager, Nutrition & Food Services, Huron Perth Diabetes Program & Clinical NutritionDATE REQUIRED: As soon as possibleSALARY: $41.68 to $53.28 per hourEDUCATION:
– Honours Baccalaureate Degree in Human Nutrition.
– Completion of an Internship or combined Masters/Internship program from a Dietitians of Canada accredited facility.
– Registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.EXPERIENCE:
– Minimum 2-5 years recent/related experience in an acute care setting, involving both inpatient and outpatient nutrition care including: nutrition support, surgery, medicine, rehabilitation, complex continuing care, ICU/Telemetry, paediatrics, diabetes mellitus management, renal management, and gastrointestinal disorders is preferred.
– Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
– Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the Health Care Team, at all levels.
– Demonstrated leadership skills.
– Demonstrated educator skills.
– Self-directed, motivated and organized with effective time management skills.
– Innovation with delegation, decision making and problem solving skills.
