We are business at its best.About the Project Manager Role:The Project Manager provides direct support to the Director, Centre for Innovation (COI), Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship. This role is focused on leading operations and processes to support the effective delivery of the key priorities of the Centre as well as coordination of specific projects related to the COI network business plan.Work Planning and Project Coordination
- Develop and monitor project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely & effective management of Longo CfE’s key projects.
- Ensure documentation and workflow charts are available and up to date for all unit projects and deliverables.
- Coordinate at the project level faculty spanning projects/initiatives with other COI Project Managers
- Coordinate and monitor evaluation for all programs and initiatives for ongoing process improvement.
- Coordinate internal & external meetings of the Director and other business unit meetings.
Team Leadership
- Facilitate, coach, mentor and guide direct and indirect reports to support people development.
- Build a positive culture, collaboration, communication and understanding of purpose.
- Proactively build and manage communications to achieve positive labour relations in support of College labour relations goals
- Assist project teams in preparing tools, processes, and project documents.
- Review project outcomes and adjust approach to subsequent projects for process improvement.
Communication and Relationship Building
- Develop communication materials related to the activities and deliverables of the unit for internal and external audiences as appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to build relationships, on behalf of the Longo CfE Director
- Lead the production cycle for Longo CfE reports/newsletters/website content.
- Coordinate the distribution of information within the unit and across the College related to the Longo CfE
- Organize & coordinate high-profile events in collaboration with Government Relations and Marketing and Communications involving political/government stakeholders, on behalf of the College.
- Design and deliver workshops, presentations, and other supports for entrepreneurs as needed.
Research and Reporting
- Conduct research and analysis to develop reports and provide recommendations associated with postsecondary trends, college strategic directions in response to government initiatives and policy frameworks.
- Research new areas pertinent to education and innovation in entrepreneurship
- Support the Longo CfE Director in the development of funding initiatives.
- Coordinate confidential reports & submissions to government, Board of Governors & senior administration.

If this sounds like you, keep reading:EducationThe successful candidate will hold a four-year degree in entrepreneurship or business administration (Master’s degree preferred).Experience/SkillsThe incumbent will have a minimum of four years of experience in a related role in entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurship centres, and/or incubators/accelerators. Experience in starting a small business or innovative startup preferred. Experience in the following areas preferred: entrepreneurship, business administration, project management, marketing, or leadership.
