It engages, supports, and connects students, staff, and faculty by providing strategic guidance and resources to foster a sustainable community.The Office of Sustainability stewards the Sustainability Projects Fund, oversees the implementation of the McGill University Climate & Sustainability Strategy, and facilitates a variety of sustainability engagement programs for students, staff, and faculty membersWhat you can expect:

Responsibilities:

  • Design graphics for mcgill.ca/sustainability and Instagram, in line with McGill Sustainability branding
  • Work with the Associate Director to design and build engaging, easy-to-read webpages
  • Use digital tools to translate pages from English to French
  • Proofread content for mcgill.ca/sustainability, looking out for typos and inactive hyperlinks
  • Work with McGill IT staff to fix any problems that arise
  • Keep apprised of McGill Website Management System (WMS) updates, policies, and newly released features which can be applied to the site

Other Qualifying Skills and/or AbilitiesQualifications:

  • Graphic design experience and familiarity with Canva and/or Adobe Photoshop
  • Reliable, with strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently, with limited supervision
  • Fluency in written French
  • Demonstrated web editing experience with McGill’s WMS (Drupal), including up-to-date McGill WMS training an asset
  • Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and groups at McGill an asset
