Job description: Our client in the mineral wool insulation manufacturing industry is seeking a Production Asset Manager to join their team, based in Grand Forks, B.C. In this role, you will be a crucial member of the Operations Team, overseeing line and pipe production departments.Job Title: Production Asset Manager

Pay Range: $110k to $130k per yearWhat’s the Job?

  • Be a driven and forward-thinking leader to oversee operations and ensure production departments thrive.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure employees have the tools to work safely, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Manage Line and/or Pipe Production Departments to meet production KPIs.
  • Create production schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Address operational issues and coordinate with maintenance for reliability.
  • Lead projects to improve workflows and implement equipment upgrades.
  • Drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of Operational Excellence.
  • Develop and communicate operational plans clearly between teams.
  • Represent your department in production meetings with updates and action plans.
  • Train and coach team members to build a high-performing workforce.

What’s Needed?

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment, working with a unionized workforce.
  • University or Technical College degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Commitment to safety and quality with an understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proven ability to develop and train employees, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • High energy, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing complex challenges.
