The ideal candidate will come from a product-driven industry, excel in numbers-driven decision-making, and thrive in a collaborative, coachable environment. In this role, you will oversee forecasting, purchasing, inventory management, supplier relationships, and purchase order distribution to ensure optimal operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities: * Forecasting & Inventory Management:
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and demand forecasts to plan inventory needs effectively.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess or obsolete stock.
- Purchasing & Supplier Management:
- Conduct semi-annual negotiations with suppliers to secure the best pricing, terms, and product quality.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent supply chain operations.
- Order Management & Distribution:
- Manage the distribution and allocation of purchased orders across warehouses and distribution centers.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align purchase orders with production and distribution schedules.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Utilize key performance metrics to assess inventory health, purchasing efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Create reports and dashboards to track procurement performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Team Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure alignment between procurement and business objectives.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to resolve any supply chain challenges.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a products-based industry.
- Strong proficiency in Momentus and other relevant tools or systems.
- Exceptional numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
- A track record of successful inventory management and supplier negotiations.
- Excellent communication skills to build relationships across teams and suppliers.
- Highly coachable, open to feedback, and adaptable to changing business needs.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with precision and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing Purchase Orders (P.L.s) and overseeing their lifecycle.
- Familiarity with industry-specific forecasting techniques and supply chain strategies.
