- Recent experience providing pre-hospital emergency and non-emergency medical treatment and transportation.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.It may be helpful for you to reviewDesired knowledge, skills and suitabilityn, the following:
- Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy.
- Patient advocacy
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Conflict management skills
- Experience working with allied agencies (e.g., Police, Fire, Health Care Professionals)
Conditions of employmentvalid (COPR certificate will be considered as equivalent at time hire, but will have one year to obtain license in southern jurisdiction),medical clearance; RCMP check with vulnerable sector check; and class 4 Yukon driver’s license (or equivalent)Job requirementsThis job requires you to perform, and/or be exposed to, the following:exposure to high stress, sensitive situations, verbally and physically aggressive behaviour; working in awkward positions indoors and outdoors in all weather; lifting and transferring patients with assistance. ability to lift to 50 lbs.
