Job description: This posting will be used to fill 1 (One) permanent full-time position working 75 hours bi-weekly. The Branch is responsible for territory-wide delivery of services and programs that support positive and healthy outcomes for children, youth, and their families.Your impactAs a Placement Resource Social Worker, you are responsible for managing a specialized foster care and placement caseload, conducting assessments, providing counseling, and developing foster care plans.   • Experience working with children and families in child welfare and foster care services
  • Experience providing family assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions, as well as providing support services to families and children
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural environment

  • Ability to conduct comprehensive family assessments
  • Ability to conduct quality of care reviews in foster homes
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and problem-solving skills

  • Occasional travel within and outside of the Yukon.
  • Willingness to work extended hours with limited notice including some weekend or evening work; and,
