Job description: Due to the current day-care situation, I will need assistance with caring for my child on Tuesdays from 9 AM to 5 PM (or later). You will be taking care of my 17-month-old toddler at home while I work from my home office. All necessary equipment, toys, and supplies will be provided. My child is at a crucial developmental stage where he’s beginning to talk and learning new things. This period is very important, so I would love for you to engage with him by playing, reading books, and teaching him sign language while patiently and professionally attending to his needs and occasional cries. He typically naps once during the day. This is a part-time, short-term opportunity due to the day-care scheduling, but future or occasional help would be greatly appreciated when my wife and I need time off. We are both young professionals working full-time and live in a 2-bedroom, brand new low-rise apartment with a large living room. We also have a medium sized doodle who is very playful and cuddly, he is very gentle and loves humans. He is hypoallergenic and does not shed fur. There’s also a gated children’s playground for residents, perfect for taking our little one out on nice days. We’re just a 15-minute walk from Lougheed Station, and on rainy days, I’m happy to pick you up and drop you off to avoid the weather. You’re welcome to use our kitchen to prepare meals and store your food and beverages in our fridge. Feel free to use the apartment gym before or after your shift if you’d like.
