If you are looking for a career that involves a lot of physical activity and time outside interacting with the Citizens of Yellowknife, then we might be the Employer for you!Under the general supervision of the Manager, Municipal Enforcement, the incumbent enforces parking provisions in and around the Central Business District, repairs parking meters, does coin collection from the parking meters, assists with litter enforcement and sidewalk cleaning enforcement under the City’s municipal by-laws.The skills for this position are normally acquired through completion of grade 12 and experience in law enforcement or security. A valid NWT Class 5 driver’s license and a Standard First Aid certificate are also required. The incumbent requires effective interpersonal and organizational abilities together with demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.The City of Yellowknife offers a salary range of $63,016 – $75,374 plus a comprehensive benefits package which includes a defined benefit pension plan and $5400 in annual housing and vacation travel allowances.
