Job description: Peter Lucas Project Management is a group of energetic and curious problem-solvers; we are currently looking for a Planner to join our growing team. This key position will be responsible for driving project success through effective planning and scheduling within the mining and heavy industrial sectors.We are seeking a highly skilled planner to assist with turnaround planning for both capital and maintenance projects. The role requires a planner who can work effectively in a plant environment, with the ability to manage project schedules and resources efficiently.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for capital and maintenance projects related to the turnaround.
  • Coordinate with teams to ensure timely and accurate scheduling of resources, tasks, and milestones.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to track project progress and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Ensure all turnaround activities are planned and executed on time and within budget.
  • Work directly with the on-site team to support planning and scheduling operations.

This position is located 30 minutes from Regina. Shift hours are Monday to Thursday 10 10-hour days.Salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.We appreciate all applicants’ interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

  • Proven experience in planning and scheduling, preferably in a plant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of turnaround planning and shutdown processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software and project management tools.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with various project teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on-site.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in a plant environment or similar industrial setting.
  • Experience with turnaround planning in capital and maintenance projects.
