Competitive Salary $60,000-75,000 based on experience with Bonus/BenefitsOur client is a well established industrial manufacturer who is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineering Technologist to join the team in Winnipeg. This role is responsible for creating CAD/CAM programs for CNC equipment, designing assemblies and components, and troubleshooting programming issues with machine operators. A strong background in manufacturing processes is essential. The ideal candidate has strong communication and interpersonal skills.The Role:

  • Develop CAD/CAM programs for various CNC equipment to optimize production efficiency and quality.
  • Design assemblies and components for a range of end-use products, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with machine operators to troubleshoot and resolve CAD/CAM programming issues in real-time.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to refine designs and manufacturing methods.
  • Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide tailored engineering solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in manufacturing engineering.
  • Continuously improve CAD/CAM programming processes to enhance productivity and reduce errors.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of programs, designs, and troubleshooting solutions.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Completed Diploma or degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing preferably in a metal fabrication, machining, or a related environment.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks. Experience with SigmaNEST, TruTops Boost, Artube, DraftSight, and Fusion 360 would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with CNC programming and machining processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot programming and manufacturing challenges.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and process optimization techniques would be an asset.
