Please direct any accommodation requests to our recruitment team.Primary functionThe manager, Technical Delivery & System Architecture is a vital role within the Legal Aid Ontario (LAO) CRM Replacement Project team. This manager will report directly to the Executive Project Lead. They will play a strategic role in advancing and overseeing all technical aspects of the LAO CRM replacement project, including system design, development, data migration, quality assurance and vendor management.Home Location: Provincial Office – or applicable home location
Secondary/Other Location(s): May require travel across the ProvinceRole Designation: Flexible Hybrid. The current requirement is for staff to attend the office one (1) day per week or four (4) times a month.This is a 3 year contract with the possibility of extension.Reporting to: Executive Project Lead, CRM Replacement ProjectKey accountabilities
- Liaise with key stakeholders across Legal Aid Ontario to ensure all requirements for the new CRM are captured.
- Management of direct and indirect reports across various streams of work will be required such as providing guidance and support to assist them in keeping the project moving forward- on time and on budget.
- Work collaboratively with CRM Replacement Project management, supporting the other teams as required.
- Ensure that throughout the design process- from initial concept to final implementation- both high-quality user experiences and business requirements are addressed, while also creating visually appealing interfaces.
- Encourage and support the team in proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, usability issues, and innovative business processes for LAO’s new CRM.
Required skills & experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar; advanced degree (master’s or higher) is preferred, however we recognize and value diverse educational backgrounds and experiences. Equivalent professional experience industry certifications, or a combination of education and practical experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrated progressive experience in the management of a technology team, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Solid relationship management and performance management skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage both direct and indirect reports effectively.
- Experience in delivering improvements in digital services with a deep understanding of how digital experiences, products, and services are built and delivered. i.e. Agile
- Demonstrated ability to merge user-centered design principles with business strategy to develop innovative solutions ensuring responsive design.
- Demonstrated experience in managing, creating, developing and maintaining complex systems designs.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills.
- Ability to conduct research into potential technology solutions and products as required.
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Creative and communicative in generating new ideas and resolving daily issues.
- Decision-making and critical thinking – knowledge of tools and techniques for effective use of a broad range of factors, assumptions, frameworks and perspectives when solving problems.
Assets
- Demonstrated proficiency with PeopleSoft (historical knowledge), Oracle Service Cloud, and Oracle Intelligent Advisor with advanced technical knowledge to bridge the gap between business and IT.
- CBAP designation is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in both written and verbal French is considered an asset.
