We are committed to the ongoing development of our team, and are recognized for our formal mentorship program designed to prepare and support nurses who serve rural communities in an expanded scope of practice.Who we are looking forYou will be responsible for managing the development, implementation, and monitoring of clinical practice training and structured orientation. Monitor trends and risks, identifying gaps and recommendations for new clinical policy. Conducting on-going evaluation and improvement of Community Nursing education and training programs and processes to support excellence in the delivery of client services. The position is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on quality assurance and improvement activities in areas of responsibility. Providing clinical expertise to program staff and peer managers, you will collaborate to understand the needs of the communities we serve while ensuring the operational requirements of the branch are met. You will be responsible for managing expenditures, identifying budgetary requirements, and creating/sustaining a healthy work environment.

  • Experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Health Care Nursing or as a Registered Nurse within an expanded role in rural and remote areas
  • Experience or formal training in quality improvement processes
  • Significant management and supervisory experience
  • Experience developing education resources for adult learners, standards, policies and protocols
