We have several positions available, and the maintenance engineers will act as subject matter experts in refractory, conveyors and pumps.Your role will involve boosting the performance and output of IOC’s assets by applying reliability principles, offering expertise to resolve issues with underperforming assets and fostering a culture of reliability within the organization.Reporting to the Superintendent working on a Monday-Friday schedule, you will:Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategiesWhen required lead root cause analysis (RCA) and failure investigations to prevent recurrence of critical equipment issuesProvide technical expertise and mentorship to the execution teamsEnsure best practices are implemented across site in specific disciplinesEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulationsContribute to capital projects and equipment upgrades from a maintenance perspectiveManage and optimize maintenance plans in CMMS (e.g., SAP)Monitor maintenance KPIs (e.g., equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR) and drive performance improvementsCoordinate with operations, planning, and reliability teams to ensure alignment of maintenance activities with production goalsSupport shutdown and turnaround planning and executionAssist in budget development and cost control for maintenance activitiesAbout youTo succeed in this role, you will have:Bachelor Engineering degree or Technologist certification in a related disciplineDemonstrated experience in reliability engineering and in diagnosis and resolution of technically advanced problemsSound understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) principlesUnderstanding and application of condition monitoring techniquesMust possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and teamsChange driver: Capable of initiating improvements and having the influence to implement them successfullyAsset:Experience in conveyors, pump and refractory.We recommend women and indigenous people to apply on this role.What we offerBe recognized for your contribution, your thinking and your hard work, and go home knowing you’ve helped the world progress.A work environment where safety is always the number one priorityCareer development & education assistance to further your technical or leadership ambitionsA competitive base salary reflective of your skills and experience with annual incentive programOngoing access to family-friendly health and medical programs, pension and savings plansAttractive share ownership planLeave for all of life’s reasons (vacation/annual, paid parental, sick leave)Exclusive employee discountsDomestic relocation assistanceWhere you’ll be workingWe are a leading North American producer and exporter of premium iron ore pellets and high-grade concentrate with average iron grades greater than 66%.
