AGLC is responsible for managing the supply chains of both lines of business in Alberta and all aspects of AGLC’s role in ensuring product fulfillment to downstream private retail enterprises. For Cannabis this includes evaluating incoming products, inventory management, and ensuring the highest quality of products are provided to Albertans. For Liquor this includes registration of liquor products, onboarding and supporting Alberta liquor manufacturers, and performing customs clearances for all liquor imported into the province. The division ensures adherence to applicable federal and provincial legislation and works closely with manufacturers, suppliers, agencies, licensed producers, liquor and cannabis licensees, and related associations. Posting Start Date: 03/25/2025JOB SUMMARYNOTE: This temporary part-time position works from 9am-4pm with every second Friday off and an end date of March 31, 2026.Do you have superb customer service and administration skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment? If so, we may have a temporary part time position for you! The Liquor Payment Collections team is looking for a highly skilled Liquor Payment Collections Clerk to join their team!The Liquor Payment Collection Clerk is responsible for matching payments made by liquor licensees to their respective orders at an authorized liquor warehouse and reviewing the transactions to ensure compliance with the Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Act and Regulations. The Liquor Payment Collection Clerk authorizes the warehouse operator to deliver the liquor order to the licensee upon receipt of payment and does so in a timely fashion. The Liquor Payment Collection Clerk is also required to enter information into outstanding and payment error lists, deposit slips and other spreadsheets used by management and other departments within AGLC.To be successful in this position you must have strong time management skills and be able to work with in extremely tight timelines. Strong communication skills with a high level of customer service and the ability to resolve customer conflicts is also a requirement. Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is a key requirement in succeeding in this position as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision or within a team.SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • A High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years of experience performing administrative work
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
  • The following are considered assets:
  • Completion of post-secondary accounting courses
  • Experience working with SAP, Oracle and/or JD Edwards
  • Knowledge of Gaming, Liquor, Cannabis Act and Gaming, Liquor, Cannabis Act Regulation
