We are currently looking for a dedicated Leadhand Heavy Duty Mechanic who will be responsible for the field troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of a variety of Caterpillar mining products, as well as being responsible for team leadership and assisting other technicians as required. This position is based in Swift Current, SK on a 7×7 continuous shift.Compensation Perks

• Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment
• Perform field diagnosis and field running repairs
• Provide technical expertise on shop floor and field operations
• Schedule, delegate and instruct others in their duties
• Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
• Provide leadership with reference to on-site safety requirements and operational processes
• Assist in training and development of team members on the job
• Provide feedback to Supervisor concerning any issues identified by team members as appropriate
• Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
• Interact with customers, sales support and the rest of the Finning team
• Work with Supervisor on various tasks as required

Qualifications:

• Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
• Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Previous supervisory experience would be considered an asset
