  • Current registration with a Registered Nursing regulatory authority and eligible for registration in the Yukon.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or implementing a change in practice or quality initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience of quality assurance, quality control and quality improvement in a health care setting.
  • Considerable experience compiling, interpreting, and presenting data
  • Experience creating and providing training including coaching and mentoring

  • Knowledge of Clinical Nursing Standards, best practices, and scopes of practice Knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, and quality improvement with regard to medication and personal care to residents and clients
  • Strong leadership skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict management skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting, multiple, and unpredictable demands and frequent interruptions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; the ability to write clear, concise documents on complex issues, and the ability to share and disseminate information effectively
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills including.

Conditions of employmentRCMP Check Vulnerable Sector, TB Screening, WHMIS 2015, Valid Class 5 Driver’s LicenceJob requirementsPotential exposure to infectious agents, exposure to animals, exposure to second hand smoke from clients/residents. Travel between Whitehorse facilities daily if needed, travel to Dawson City.
