When you join Energy Safety Canada, you are part of a team committed to getting workers home safely every day.What is the opportunity:Reporting to the Manager, Safety Audits and Certifications, the Junior HSE Quality Assurance role provides service and support to all stakeholders of the COR and SECOR program. This role assists with administering all steps of the audit and COR and SECOR certification processes. This position is also participating in the Energy Safety Canada Corporate Health & Safety program as part of the HSE team. Conducts Audit Reviews and feedback to employers/auditors.What will you do:
- Answer all stakeholder inquiries related to the COR and SECOR HSE Audit programs. Provide direction and assistance to COR and SECOR stakeholders with the Energy Safety Canada COR Program process
- Assist SAC quality assurance reviews
- Participate in governing document review and revisions and development of procedures, guidelines and communications
- Participate in the engagement program for workshops, consultations and audit readiness activities
- Conduct marketing activities and HSE gap assessments to new employer members
- Other duties as required
What you need to succeed:
- Certificate or (or working towards) diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, is required
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or related field
- 2+ years work experience in an administrative role
- 1 year experience working in a health and safety role would be an asset
- Knowledge of health and safety programs
- Marketing experience an asset
- Proficient in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Goal oriented and enjoys the challenges of working under deadlines
- Demonstrates creativity and ability to rely on experience and knowledge to make decisions confidently
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Well organized and able to handle multiple tasks quickly and accurately
