This is camp work. This work does not have a set shift as it is outage and/or breakdown driven.Compensation/Benefits

• CLAC rate: $50.50/hr
• Time and a half after 8 hours per day

• Perform ongoing shovel maintenance, including supporting outages.
• Set-up and use cooper heat to aid in the repair of cracks and fatigued metal as per provided procedures
• Identify cracking and repairs as per procedures
• Gouging cracked/fatigued metal to remove defects for repair
• Welding with SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes
• Work alongside the client as well as other contractors in a group or individual setting
• General fabrication of components as per drawings and/or instructions
• Work in outdoor environments and confined spaces regularly
• Work at heights
• Able to work independently without direct supervision

Experience/Education/Qualifications

• Journey-certified Welder with Interprovincial Red Seal Certification
• A minimum 3-5 years of related experience
• Must be okay with working night shifts
• Flux core and wire feed experience an asset
• Experience with the set-up and use of cooper heat is considered an asset
• Preference will be given to individuals with previous shovel and mine equipment experience
• Driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
• CSO or CSTS2020 Fundamentals certification required
• Fall Protection ticket required
• Confined Space ticket required
• H2S Awareness ticket is required
• WHMIS 2015 is required
• Aerial Work Platform (AWP) training an asset
• Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check
