This is camp work. This work does not have a set shift as it is outage and/or breakdown driven.Compensation/Benefits
- CLAC rate: $50.50/hr
- Time and a half after 8 hours per day

- Perform ongoing shovel maintenance, including supporting outages.
- Set-up and use cooper heat to aid in the repair of cracks and fatigued metal as per provided procedures
- Identify cracking and repairs as per procedures
- Gouging cracked/fatigued metal to remove defects for repair
- Welding with SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes
- Work alongside the client as well as other contractors in a group or individual setting
- General fabrication of components as per drawings and/or instructions
- Work in outdoor environments and confined spaces regularly
- Work at heights
- Able to work independently without direct supervision
Experience/Education/Qualifications
- Journey-certified Welder with Interprovincial Red Seal Certification
- A minimum 3-5 years of related experience
- Must be okay with working night shifts
- Flux core and wire feed experience an asset
- Experience with the set-up and use of cooper heat is considered an asset
- Preference will be given to individuals with previous shovel and mine equipment experience
- Driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
- CSO or CSTS2020 Fundamentals certification required
- Fall Protection ticket required
- Confined Space ticket required
- H2S Awareness ticket is required
- WHMIS 2015 is required
- Aerial Work Platform (AWP) training an asset
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check
