We do the work only if it is safe, and we invest to make sure every member of the team has the quality tools they need to do their job.Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will:Work safely in accordance with Rio Tinto safety standards – actively engaging in safety initiatives promoting our “Zero harm” safety cultureContribute to safety and efficiency by constructively participating in safety meetings and incident investigationsKeep work areas clean and free of safety hazards on a continuous basis. Adhere to safety and environmental rulesPerform heavy equipment repairs within planned time frames and without compromising the integrity of the equipmentProvide sufficient detail about repairs so that others can understand what work has been done on the equipmentPrepare written and electronic reports for leaders as requested.Help develop Heavy-Duty Mechanic apprenticesPlease note: Fly-in-fly-out arrangements are not available.
