Job description: Term of Appt: As required, not to exceed 35 hours per weekStart date: ImmediatelyReporting to: Campus AdministratorSalary:Classification 5, $25.02/hour, as per the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Temporary employees are provided an additional $0.58/hour in lieu of benefits, and 6% vacation pay for all regular hours worked. The period between Christmas day and New Year’s Day is unpaid during the closure.Description:Invigilators supervise students writing a variety of exams (which may include read or scribed delivery of exams) on the Chetwynd campus including marking/grading CAAT exams, executing exam requirements from the examining institution and following invigilation protocol for NLC exams. Invigilators use NLC’s database (Colleague) to enter scores from internal assessments.**Please note that the shifts could occur during the day, evening or on the weekends. Preference and requirement for daytime availability between 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.Qualifications:Required:
- Completion of Grade 12.
- Experience and proficiency with the current version of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to invigilate all exams strictly adhering to guidelines, maintaining confidentiality and the security of all tests, and completion of necessary documentation for all tests.
- Ability to learn databases.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong record keeping and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Experience invigilating exams in a post-secondary education setting.
