Job description: We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Administrator to fulfill a 16-month contract. You’ll partner your top-notch skills with an innovative global cannabinoid company, offering international production and distribution across five continents.This role offers:

Job Focus
You’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory records, investigating discrepancies, maintaining detailed documentation, and assisting with regulatory reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of inventory management systems, particularly SAP, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.What you’ll be doing:

  • Administer the Cycle Count program for excise stamps and raw materials to ensure accurate inventory records (scheduling the counts and preparing documentation for the counting team)
  • Investigate all inventory discrepancies and root causes are logged for reporting purposes
  • Maintain accurate documentation of cycle count results for audit purposes
  • Coordinate the excise stamp program from ordering to receipt
  • Perform a weekly reconciliation of damaged excise stamps verifying all SAP inputs are correct and accounted for
  • Coordinate the Inventory Destruction process ensuring proper tracking and financial approvals are received
  • Schedule the monthly destruction pick-ups and ensure compliance with company policies/regulatory requirements during the destruction process
  • Maintain detailed records of destroyed inventory and associated financial approvals
  • Confirm all destroyed inventory is scrapped and tracked in SAP to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Ordering all supplies required by the Inventory Control team for proper inventory management
  • Mandatory requirement to participate in all Year End Physical Inventory counts

You offer:

  • Post-Secondary education in relevant field (Inventory/Supply Chain Management) CPIM, PMAC/CPP at asset
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in inventory control or a related role
  • Demonstrated understanding of inventory management systems, particularly SAP, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA MM module
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft programs
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate well with others in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
