The TTC’s new vision and mission statements also help promote the many environmental, social equity and economic benefits that the TTC provides:Vision: Moving Toronto towards a more equitable, sustainable, and prosperous future.Mission: To serve the needs of transit riders by providing a safe, reliable, efficient, and accessible mass public transit service through a seamless integrated network to create access to opportunity for everyone.The full Plan canCareer OpportunityA great opportunity within the Operations Training Centre.What You Will DoYou will deliver and evaluate maintenance related training programs to employees, contractors, consultants, etc. Work with others to develop new programs and to review and update existing programs.You will educate staff through training programs and monitor and evaluate performance; provide assistance or help in the coordination, development, or delivery of the Section’s initiatives; create and update materials and resources; store and disseminate appropriately; plan, schedule, facilitate, and/or organize a program, event, or tasks needed to achieve an outcome; review, analyze submissions, documents, qualifications or other materials, approve or deny requests.You will ensure that work is performed in safe and efficient manner which complies with regulations, policies, and organizational procedures.In addition to the above, you will demonstrate behaviours that support diversity, inclusion, and a respectful work and service environment that is free from discrimination and harassment.   • Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent
  • Must have or be able to obtain an Adult Teaching Certificate at a community college in Training and Development
  • Must have directly related work experience with various types of Rail Workcars
  • Knowledge of Power Cut or Track system will be considered an asset
  • Sound knowledge of, and the ability to apply, adult education principles, instruction, assessment, testing and evaluation techniques, research methods, and program design and development methodologies
  • Ability to read, comprehend and explain complex and/or operating and maintenance procedures; and ability to effectively deliver a comprehensive range of training programs to diverse groups in the classroom, at actual work locations, to large and small groups, and on a one-on-one basis
  • Must possess a valid Class G Driver’s License, and be able to upgrade to a class DZ/CZ or AZ as required
