We work with proactive clients who understand the importance of having exceptional staff.Partner Staffing​ on behalf of our Client, we are seeking a driven and technically skilled Intermediate Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer to join our Whitehorse office. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects, including HVAC systems and mechanical components of water, storm, and sanitary pump stations, valve chambers, and pressure control facilities. This position offers a dynamic mix of technical leadership, mentorship, and the opportunity to support business development and project management efforts.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical design for infrastructure projects, including HVAC systems, pumping stations, valve chambers, and pressure control facilities.
  • Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and design reports.
  • Conduct condition assessments and contribute to energy efficiency studies and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, electrical, and process engineers.
  • Provide technical input during construction, including site reviews, RFIs, and commissioning support.
  • Support proposal writing, client liaison, and business development initiatives, as needed.

Mentor junior engineers and technologists.Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer in Yukon.
  • 5–10 years of experience in mechanical design for municipal or industrial infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of pump station and HVAC system design, hydraulics, and building mechanical systems.
  • Experience conducting site assessments and energy audits is an asset.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and mechanical modeling tools; familiarity with Revit or BIM workflows is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel to project sites, including remote or northern communities.
