Job description: Spectrum Resource GroupABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking an Integrated Vegetation Management Field Supervisor to join Spectrum Resource Group (Wright Canada Holdings Ltd.) for various locations within British Columbia as integral members of our crew, gaining hands on training experience in the vegetation management industry.This is a early spring to late fall seasonal, full-time field position with limited office work. Integrated Vegetation Management Technician is responsible for promoting awareness of invasive species and integrated vegetation management practices and collect data regularly. Crews can expect to work 10-hour days on a 10 on 4 off rotation.This position starts early April.We offer:$23.00 – $29.00 per hourPaid travel time and accommodations when away from homeAll equipment and tools suppliedEssential Functions:Ensure Compliance on all OH&S related aspectsEnsure Spectrum policies are followedAssist Project Manager and Human Resources with hiring and personnel resource requirementsPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly work plans for the crewWork with crew on sites daily, and assist crews with daily operationsAssist Project Managers with project reportsEnsure daily communication with Crew and ClientsEnter payroll for self and crew in electronic payroll systemMinimum Requirements:B.C Pesticide Applicator Certification (5 year), or provincial equivalentAbility to work away from home in shiftsValid 5 BC Class 5 Driver’s License and a current Driver’s Abstract.Experience driving pick-up trucks pulling ball-hitch trailers.Experience using ATVs, or other offroad vehiclesStrong proficiency in using a chainsawExperience in vegetation managementExperience in a supervisory roleB.C.
