Job description: Job Description:We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an HR Coordinator in North York, Ontario. This role is within the HR department and involves support functions such as reference checks, HRIS system operation, and resume screening.Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting reference checks
- Utilize HRIS – Human Resources Info Systems for creating and updating employee files
- Screen resumes as part of the recruitment process
- Perform general administrative tasks related to HR
- Utilize communication skills for effective interaction within the team and with external entities
- Engage in corporate recruiting activities
- Handle tasks related to Human Resources (HR) Administration
- Conduct Background Checks when necessary
Requirements:
- Proven experience in HR coordination or similar role
- Proficiency in HRIS or Human Resources Information Systems
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Corporate Recruiting
- Ability to conduct Background Checks without any bias
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in conducting Reference Checks
- Comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Administration
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field would be an advantage
- Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
