This role is currently 2-3 days per week (Tuesday-Friday), with the potential to grow into a full-time position in the future. We have a medium-sized Golden Doodle who requires daily walks, and on Mondays through Wednesdays, we also care for our in-laws’ Royal Poodle. Applicants must be comfortable handling two friendly dogs part of the week. We are also planning to have children this year, so experience with newborns is a plus. Responsibilities: Household Cleaning: Routine cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and deep cleaning as needed (monthly and seasonal tasks) Laundry & Ironing: Washing, ironing, and organizing clothing, linens, and delicate fabrics Pantry & Home Organization: Stocking groceries and household supplies, keeping an organized pantry, and decluttering Meal Preparation Errands & Shopping: Grocery shopping, dry cleaning drop-offs, and other household-related errands (a car will be provided for work-related tasks) Pet Care: Daily walks for our medium-sized Golden Doodle, and our in-laws’ Royal Poodle (Monday-Wednesday) Indoor Plant Care & Gardening: Watering and maintaining indoor plants; light gardening is a plus Household Upkeep: Keeping an eye on household maintenance needs and notifying us of any repairs Childcare (Future Consideration): While this is not a nanny role, experience with newborns is a plus as we plan to expand our family Requirements: Minimum 1+ years of experience in a similar household management or housekeeping role Strong references from former employers (required) Police background check required Valid driver’s license required (but no need to own a car) Legal authorization to work in Canada Ability to work independently and proactively manage household tasks without daily supervision Physical capability to handle cleaning, lifting, and organizing tasks Comfortable with dogs and experienced in handling a medium-to-large breed Discretion, trustworthiness, and respect for privacy in a family home Experience or interest in gardening is a plus Familiarity with Jewish traditions is appreciated, though we are not a kosher household Confidentiality Expectation: As a Household Manager/Housekeeper, you will have access to private aspects of our home and daily life.
