Job description: My husband and I are both home full time and expecting our third child this holiday season. We have two daughters age 3 and 5 who are homeschooled and home with us full time. We are looking for in-home part-time support while we adjust to being a family of five. I am practicing a 30 day confinement postpartum, and will be in bed with my new baby leaving all the household duties to my husband. So we want to hire support for him and provide ourselves with a little quiet a few times a week to bond with our new baby and allow me to sleep without the sound of playing girls. My ideal candidate has their own children (aka they understand motherhood), can drop by around 10:30/11am, feed the girls a snack, take them to a park, or sledding, or some other outdoor activity, then bring them home cold and tired, and help out with a little housework and prepare dinner for us a couple nights a week. I would also love someone who would flip the laundry and sweep the floor in the kitchen and dining area. I imagine it being a 4 max 5 hour work day, so if this person has kids who are in school it’s an easy schedule. A native French speaker would be ideal, I’m anglophone and my husband is francophone and we are actively seeking more fluent French environments for our girls. If you can drive, great, we can let you drive the girls places in our car, but I only imagine destinations being in and around Lachine. I will need work and personal references, I’m super protective of my children and don’t let them be taken care of by just anyone. So we will have to establish trust before you are hired. This job is ONLY FOR ONE MONTH after I give birth. So the start date could be anytime in the second half of December or the start of January.
