Employment Type: Full-TimeAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join a dynamic and growing organization. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, managing CORTM audits, and fostering a culture of safety across all projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in health and safety management, with the ability to seamlessly take over the responsibilities of the previous manager and drive continuous improvement.In addition to health and safety duties, this role will involve assisting with office administration tasks, such as booking hotels, sending purchase orders, and maintaining project oversight. This dual focus ensures the manager remains engaged with all projects, enhancing safety awareness and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:CORTM Audit Management:Conduct initial internal audits and follow-up maintenance audits in alignment with CORTM 2020 Program Guidelines.Prepare and submit audit reports to the relevant health and safety authority within required timelines.Attend opening and closing meetings for audits and collaborate with management to develop Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).Health and Safety Oversight:Manage all aspects of workplace safety, including hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident investigations.Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.Provide guidance and training to employees and subcontractors on safety protocols and best practices.Office Administration Support:Assist with administrative tasks such as booking travel accommodations, sending purchase orders, and maintaining project documentation.Stay informed about project activities, including subcontractor involvement, to ensure safety requirements are met.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for improving safety processes and implementing best practices.Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to senior management.What We’re Looking For:Experience: Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager, preferably in construction or a related industry.CORTM Expertise: In-depth knowledge of CORTM 2020 Program Guidelines, Audit Handbook, and Audit Tool.Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage safety programs and influence positive change.Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with teams, subcontractors, and senior management.Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, including health and safety responsibilities and administrative duties.Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to address safety issues diplomatically and effectively.Integrity: Honest, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.Qualifications:Completion of the CORTM 2020 Training Program, including:CORTM EssentialsIntroduction to Hazard & Risk ManagementCORTM Basic Auditing PrinciplesCORTM Internal Auditor certificationAdditional certifications such as National Construction Safety Officer (NCSOTM) or similar are highly desirable.Experience in incident investigation, risk assessment, and safety training delivery.Why This Opportunity?This is a unique role that combines health and safety leadership with hands-on project engagement.
