The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker who has a strong accounting foundation and the ability to work with people at all levels. Reporting to a supportive Director of Finance, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of project revenue accounting with main responsibilities including:

• Prepare financial reports and provide variance analysis
• Track project performance, revenue, cost, and inventory
• Assist with the month-end close process including journal entries, account and bank reconciliations, and sales tax filings
• Understand and assist with the review of subledger accounting entries by working closely with AP, AR, and the project accounting team
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, accounting policies and internal control procedures
• Assist with annual budgets and forecasts
• Coordinate with project accountants and managers to ensure agreements are in place and financial information is accurate
• Support management with financial reports, special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed

Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• Post-secondary education in finance and/or accounting required
• Minimum 4 years combined experience in full cycle accounting and financial reporting / analysis
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Excel
• Self-motivator with ability to work independently
