Job description: The PEI Alliance for Mental Well-Being is an independent and incorporated non-profit organization, mandated to create
conditions for positive change that advance resiliency and improve the mental well-being of all Islanders. Launched in
2021, the Alliance came as a response to community informed recommendations to focus and accelerate activities from
a prevention lens. The Alliance aims to ensure people living on Prince Edward Island have an equal opportunity to achieve

The PEI Alliance for Mental Well-Being is currently seeking an Executive Director.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) ensures the attainment of strategic goals and operational
objectives, and that the Alliance fulfills its mandate to advance resilience and improve mental well-being for people living
on PEI. The ED fosters a healthy and equitable workplace while overseeing all aspects of human resources and ensuring
the organization operates effectively and maintains fiscal integrity. The ED guides the development and implementation
of the strategic plan, establishes trust with stakeholders, and ensures long-term sustainability of the Alliance through
strategic revenue generation. Additionally, the ED supports board governance by maintaining effective communication,
supporting board recruitment and orientation, and ensuring adherence to the strategic direction and policy development.
Who You Are
As an ideal candidate, you will be a collaborative and strategic senior leader with extensive experience in the not-for-
profit/social services sector. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of board governance and be
experienced in strategic planning, including leading and managing change. This role requires a professional who excels at
developing and maintaining effective relationships with community partners, government bodies and key stakeholders
and who will effectively motivate internal and external teams to achieve outcomes through a collaborative and
participative approach.
Qualifications

Post-secondary degree or equivalent in a related field (i.e., Human Services, Psychology, Business Administration
or similar). A combination of education and experience will be considered. Master’s degree is an asset.

Effective at building and leading healthy, productive teams with extensive human resource management
experience.

Demonstrated understanding of financial reporting and strong analytical and planning skills.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

Knowledge of and experience in the mental health and addictions field is preferred.

Experience working with a Board of Directors is required.

Salary Range: $100,000 – 120,000
