Job description: CompanyFantasyland HotelDepartmentBanquetsClosing DateOct 04, 2024The Events Audio Visual Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting and servicing audio visual systems in connection with the Fantasyland Hotel banquet and conference rooms. The Audio Visual Technician will working in a unique and dynamic environment handling a variety of corporate events, weddings, holiday gatherings and more.Primary Responsibilities:

• Performing manual set-up and system installation for our clients, including wiring, equipment, video displays, cameras, projection systems, audio systems and control systems.
• Assisting with structural installation of displays, screens and projectors.
• Completing set-up tasks in a timely manner well in advance of the event start time.
• Working with a variety of clients, guests and co-workers in a friendly and courteous manner and provide prompt and professional service at all times by actively engaging in the clients’ needs.
• Accommodating special requests raised by the client and handle any ad hoc request efficiently in consultation with the Manager of Event Technology.
• Performing maintenance testing of audio and visual systems and report back to Manager of Event Technology.
• Ongoing maintenance of equipment ensuring all systems are providing the best quality of audio and visual for our clients.
• Disconnecting and take down of audio and visual equipment in its’ entirety post event and maintain a clean and organized storage and work space.

Desired Qualifications:

• 1-3 years’ experience handling audio and visual equipment in a similar role preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and understanding of event logistics.
• Possess a professional and friendly demeanor and attitude.
• Creative in approach to finding solutions for clients.
• Collaborative in working closely with the Manager of Event Technology.

Terms of Employment:

• This is a part-time position that requires flexible availability for days, evenings and weekends.
• This position has a starting wage of $17.00 per hour.
• Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
